Dr. Jarrett Cullens

Hi, I’m Dr. Jarrett Cullens or in the office Dr. J. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, Kansas with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2015. Before that I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Wichita State University and an Associate’s degree in Architectural/Mechanical Computer Aided Drafting from Hutchinson Community College. At both WSU and HCC, I achieved Academic All- American status competing in track and field. Due to my athletic background, I enjoy working with athletes. My focus is on posture which is a main contributor to back pain and shoulder issues.

Excelling at sports my entire life, it wasn’t until after college athletics that I began to feel pain. While working a job in Denver, CO when I was 27 years old, I seriously hurt my low back. I was told by an Orthopedic Surgeon that I had broken my back at least 10 years previously. So, after the surgery to fuse my lower back together I discovered Chiropractic when listening to a Christian radio station while driving to work. I soon realized that Chiropractic was never meant for pain relief but more for overall healing from the inside out. And that passion that my first Chiropractor had for helping people gain back their health and vitality is what led me to my passion today.

After Chiropractic College I wasn’t done learning. I furthered my education with certifications in Rocktape (a brand of kinesiology tape), Functional Movement Systems, Level 1 Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Spinal Hygiene, and Chiropractic Biophysics. I am in process of becoming a Certified Posture Expert from American Posture Institute and have attended multiple seminars that deal specifically with extremities (shoulder, wrists, ankles, and hips). When I am not learning how to better help my family (patients included), I enjoy watching football and spending time with my wife Monica, 4 children, my grandson and cat.

Dr. J has been our chiropractor for the last few years. He is knowledgeable, caring, and innovative. He takes his time and really listens to what our concerns may be. While also educating us on what to do at home to continue to help fix the problem.
